MEDIATOR-ATTORNEY- DURSUN YASSIKAYA / CHAIRMAN

I was born in 1964 in Kirikkale, and I am married with three children. I graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ankara University.I have been practicingthe profession of attorneyship in my office as an attorneyregistered withAnkara Bar Association since 1995. I have written articles in various journals during the process. I acted as a Deputy Chairman in one of the political parties currently being represented in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey between 2002 – 2005. I worked in the Legislation Commission of Ankara Bar Association between 2002 – 2004. In particular, I participated as a guest inradio and TV programs and panels for the draft bills for the Civil Law, Consumer Law, Criminal Law and theirenforcement. I published a book that explains the advantages brought forth by the Mining Law and its implications, with the support of Turkey Kamu-Sen (Public Servants’ Union). I emphasized social sensitivity. I worked as the chairman of a platform that performs economic and political analysis under the name of “Phoenix Bird Platform” between 2005 – 2007. I received Mediation Training atHacettepe University in 2009 – 2010. I currently work as a Mediator. I received certified trainings on Mediation, Actuarial Expertise, Property Regimes and Liquidation Procedures, Joint Stock Companies, Competition Law, and Foreign Trade Specialty. I haveworked as an expert at Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office (on embezzlement and appropriation) and Ankara Trade Courts (on cooperatives), Courts of First Instance, Family Courts, and Executive Judicatures.I am among the founders of BAM (Independent Mediation Center). I have provided training on this issue atvarious bar associations duringprojects carried out by the Ministry of Justice for pilot practices concerning the development of mediation. I worked as a speaker in Mediation introduction and training meetings atvarious Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Chambers of Artisans, and Houses of Cankaya Municipality. I participated in an EU project on the development of Mediation in Consumer Law under the Ministry of Industry and a closed international project on Mediation in Execution and Bankruptcy Law under the Ministry of Justice upon the invitation of the Ministry. I am the founder chairman of BADER (Independent Mediators’ Association) and currently serve asits Chairman. I am currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of DOSTEL Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Center Training Consultancy, and Trade Inc., and also a member of Ankara Bar Association, Alternative Dispute Resolution Center and Attorney Rights Councils.I also undertake the task of Head of AVSA Alternative Dispute Resolution Ways Work Department of Ankara Bar Association.
