MEDIATOR-ATTORNEY - HİKMETCAN KURUOĞLU

He was born in 1967 in Antalya. He spent his childhood in various parts of the country due to the public office his family held. He completed his elementary education in Denizli between 1973 and 1978, secondary education in Antakya/ Hatay between 1978 and 1981, high school education atIsiklar Military High School/ Bursa between 1981 and1985, and following his education in Turkish Military Academy between 1985 and 1989, he started to work at theArmed Forces of Turkey with the rank of Artillery Lieutenant in 1989. between 1989 and 2014, he worked in many troops and military quarters within the country and abroad, participated in many military drills, projects, seminars, and other tasks, either national or multinational, within the country and abroad, worked as a discipline officer, military regulation investigation, officer and legal counsellor since he was a lawyer, and he retired from theArmedForces of Turkey at his own discretion in 2014. During his office at theArmed Forces of Turkey, he completed his second course of education in Ankara University Faculty of Law between 1992 and 1996, completed his master’s degree in public law andengaged in many projects and studies in the fields of master’s energy, EU law, and administrative law.He completed his attorney internship in 2001 and following his retirement, he has been working as a freelance attorney atAnkara Bar Association since 2014. After completing basic mediation training in 2015 and passing the mediation exam, he participated in numerousdiscretionary mediation processes, seminars, panels, and training processes. He has been carrying out discretionary and compulsory mediation tasks in addition to advocacy since receiving labor law expert mediation training in 2017.Currently he is an active member of the Independent Mediators’ Association and Altay Law Office in Sihhiye/ Ankara, and one of the founding members of DOSTEL Inc. He is married and has two children and speaks a good level of German and English.
