MEDIATOR-ATTORNEY - FERDA ÇALGIN

I was born in 1972 in Eregli district of Konya. After completing elementary school and high school in the same city, I was admitted to Ankara University Faculty of Law. I started with the attorney profession after my internship. I have been practicingthe legalprofession atvarious bar associations since 1997 and as a registered member of Ankara Bar Association since 2009. between 1998 and 2003, I delivered lectureson “Basic Law” and “Labor Law” courses in Suleyman Demirel University Vocational School of Office Management and Secretariat.I participated in the Mediation training deliveredin 2013 by Hasan Kalyoncu University. I passedthe Mediation exams carried out by the Ministry of Justice and was enteredinto the Registry of Mediators. I am a member of the “Consumer Rights Board”, “Labor and Social Security Board”, “Intellectual Property and Competition Law Board”, “Tax and Administrative Law Board”, “Execution Law Board”, and “Trade andObligations Law Board” of Ankara Bar Association. During my career which I have been pursuing as a freelance attorney since 1997, I have worked as a consultancy and contract attorney for SMEs. Currently I am workingas an expertatAnkara Consumer Court, Trade Court of First Instance, CivilCourt of First Instance and Execution Civil Courtof Ankara in the fields of Consumer Law, Inheritance Law, Artwork Contracts, and Contracts Law, as well as alimony calculation. I am among the founders and active guide attorneys of “GelincikProject and Center” which weredeveloped in 2011 by Ankara Bar Association in order tofight against violence against women and children. In this scope, I delivered presentations on the issues of family law, property regimes and liquidation procedures, gender perception, and violence under the scope of Turkish Civil Code atbar associations, local administrations, and NGO units, and participated in workshops. In addition, I have been working as an editor atthe Publications Board of Ankara Bar Association. I am a member of theIndependent Mediators’ Association (BADER). I currently continue my professional activitiesatFerda Çalgın Law and Mediation Office and Dostel Mediation Center. I am married and a mother of two children.
